Cultivar Information
Cultivar Name: Golden Dusk
Species: Clivia miniata
Breeder:
Record: Registered Cultivar
Description: Registered Cultivar: This hybrid was bred and named by Alick McLeman. It is a sibling cross involving [‘Ndwedwe Ngidi Pink Champagne’ x ‘Ndwedwe Beta Thurston’] that retains the typical C. miniata foliage and form, having narrow strap-like leaves. The smallish open flowers are a pale yellow with just a tinge of red pigments leaking into the tips of the sepals and showing as a stripe down the outside of the tepals. The red pigment deepen as the flower matures. The name was chosen to reflect the yellow background colour and the tinge of red evident at sunset at the end of a lovely day.
