Cultivar Information
Cultivar Name: Lambada Dancer
Species: Clivia miniata
Breeder: Bill Morris
Record: Registered Cultivar
Description: Registered Cultivar: a stunning bicolour grown and named by Brian Steven. The plant was grown from a seedling purchased from Bill Morris in April 2003. First flowering was in September 2006. It was a (C. miniata orange x C. miniata yellow) pastel X C. miniata ‘Tango’. The flower is a broad petal form with similar colouring of large yellow throat and orange on the tips and reverse of the tepals as seen in the pollen parent ‘Tango’. It is a beautiful Clivia and is a sibling to ‘Samba Magic’. It was named to carry on the sultry dance theme. The prospects for breeding with this plant are exciting.
