Cultivar Information
Cultivar Name: 'Emmeline'
Species: Clivia miniata
Breeder: Sean Chubb
Record: Registered Cultivar
Description: Registered Cultivar: This plant resulted from an [F3 orange] bred from Wittig Pink pollinated by Wittig Pink. The two year old seedling was purchased from Burwood Clivia Nursery in NSW. The recurved petal peach-pink flowers appear more peach from a distance because of the white & yellow throat. First flowers were in 2007. Berries are dark peach with red spots and selfed seed produces predominately unpigmented seedlings (pink/peach flowered offspring). Only two pigmented seedlings out of more than a hundred seedlings flowered orange, most likely as a result of stray pollen. The name was chosen as just a pretty name for a plant that is being used extensively for breeding.
