Registered cultivar
Mare's Yellow
Yellow · South Africa
Reference: vt/1998

Description
This clone was collected at the foot of the Howick Falls in 1896 by Miss Grace Mare. It has strap-like leaves and trumpet shape yellow blooms. It is a strong grower and produces offsets freely. When Grace Mare had to leave Howick for health reasons, she gave her plants to her neice, Audrey Tanner, in 1956. They were grown at the Tanner house for ten years before being moved to the current address in Blackridge. The family is pleased to have their father's name carried on in this wild collected clone. also see 'Howick Yellow'
