South African Clubs

Based in Cape Town, the Cape Clivia Club is one of the most active groups in South Africa. Members enjoy quarterly meetings featuring guest speakers, monthly workshops, and the annual show held in late September. The club welcomes all enthusiasts and offers newsletters, the Clivia Society Yearbook, and access to a knowledgeable network of growers.

Headquartered in Port Elizabeth, the Eastern Province Clivia Club - “The Club Without Borders” - was founded in 1999 and became part of the Clivia Society in 2002. The club focuses on the conservation and cultivation of Clivia, offering quarterly open meetings with guest speakers, workshops, and shows. It’s known for its friendly community spirit and accessible membership.

The Johannesburg Clivia Club is one of South Africa’s largest and best-established clubs. Meetings are held at Random Harvest Nursery in Muldersdrift, featuring educational talks, plant sales, and networking opportunities. The highlight of the year is the Spring Show, held in September, showcasing exceptional plants from across the region.
